dr said my thyroid was fine and facial swelling wasn't related to thyroid.she said "bruising "around eyes was discolouration.she told me several things which my own dr has never told me.dont think i'll ever be entirely convinced because of lack of info etc in the beginning

Did you get your all of your questions answered? Did your Dr say what your facial swelling is then and the discolouration, due to what? Doesn't sound like you had a very effective visit!

most of them. ,I have read its thyroid related I didnt ask what it was-fibro fog!!.but know from researching symptoms on nhs website. sjogrens disease.she told me to use witch hazel on my eyes and facial rash.so asked in the pharmacy and they didn't have any and the woman there said she had never heard of using witch hazel .when i managed to find some its just a skin cleanser.maybe not too effective a visit btu I did get antibiotics fro urine infection which was main reason for going.

waiting fro my home delivery of shopping-came at 10.30pm,suffering withdrawal symptoms cos I had no chocolate in the house. tonight my larynx is more enlarged as is the lump under my jaw. both are painfully sore to touch.am not happy that my symptoms are being ignored and have contacted both my MP and PALS to let them know of the probs I am having and none have replied so time for letters to them both.

just a little tip that I have found to be useful and effective ..... contact the hospital switchboard and request ,formally, to speak directly with the ' CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S OFFICE ' explain to their p.a. that you wish to register a formal complaint directly with the chief exec...... this will get them working on the case far faster and you will receive feedback rapidly....... all complaints going through the c.e's office have to be logged and followed up OFFICIALLY and cannot be swept away as some others are.....hope that this helps .....alan

always remember that a little indulgence in your own moderation can only help ---- even if only to take the edge off the frustrations of life ---- and if it don't ' what the heck JUST ENJOY IT ' ----- at least YOU love it enjoy enjoy enjoy .....if it makes you feel better it can sometimes be better than any meds because it may give you a new lease to tackle other problems ...... LoL alan xx
