Has anyone tried Nutri Thyroid with their Levothyroxine ?
I am thinking of doing this to see if there is an improvement in my well being. as I feel I am not converting to FT3 as much as I should. What is the general consensus on whether it contains hormones like T4 or T3 ? etc.

However, others don't necessarily agree and I would have liked to link to some other posts, but am afraid I can't seem to do that with the new site's search facility sorry. xx
Hi super1 - I take 50 Thyroxine around 6am every day and an extra 25 levo. 3 times a week. I take 1 tablet of NT around lunchtime as well as D3 and one Nutri Thyro Complex as a supplement. I am recovering from an operation I had last week so I am feeling a bit tired at the moment also my husband has had chemo. so I am also taking1 Nutri Adrenal before 1pm to help me cope with the stress. I will give myself a month to recover then I will get another TSH test done to see how things are. Before my operation I felt brilliant on this routine so hope to get back to that soon but in the meantime I will take an extra 25 when I feel I need it but will check my bloodpressure and pulse to as not to become hyper. Hope this helps, Jax
Hi super1. Thought you might be interested in my use of Nutri products. I have been on T4 only for nearly 7 years and never really felt well. Over the last year things got worse. I appeared to need an increase in my meds (increase of stress in my life). I had been on 75mcg for 6 years in a "normal" range. Now I was feeling particularly bad. GP raised meds to 100mcg but I had hyper symptoms so was put on 75/100mcg taken on alternate days. Still didn't feel well - I felt "toxic" as if I had overdosed on T4. Doctor was not interested in how I felt, only on the blood test ranges. I took things into my own hands as it were. So, approximately 6 weeks ago now I decided to come off my thyroxine for a week. The result was an eye-opener for me. It was as if a veil had been lifted, I felt wonderful - no brain fog, no insomnia, no panic/anxiety attacks, just some aches though not at all like I had on levothyroxine. I kept a diary on temps/pulse and how I felt. After the first week on no meds I introduced Nutri-adrenal, one a day in the morning. Week 2 added a Nutri-thyroid in a mornings with the nutri-adrenal and another nutri-adrenal at 1pm, plus I reluctantly added 50mcg of levo. I was aware of the long-life of levo and didn't want to "crash". Week after that, I introduced another nutri-thyroid with my lunch-time dose of nutri-adrenal - so now on 50mcg of levo, 2 nutri-thyroid and 2 nutri-adrenal. Temps are stable between 36.5 (basal temp) raising to 37.0 midday then decreasing to 36.5 in the evening before bed. Pulse is normal. I really want to have a trial of NDT but no luck with getting a prescription yet (if ever!). Not sure what I'll do if as the T4 reduces in my body. I suppose the options are raise the T4 to 75mcg ( which I don't want to do), add in more Nutri products (makes it all rather expensive) or self-medicate with NDT from online (would rather be under the wing of a medical doctor). Such are the difficulties faced. Hope my experiences help...
Hi Jen I am hoping you are still using the forum as I would like to know how you progressed with your change of meds. I am thinking of going onto Nutri Thyroid. I did try NDT but it did not agree with me I went hyperthyroid and unfortunately had to go back to Levo.
