What is relationship between serum Iron and Ferritin levels

I've just started to take Spatone Iron [lowest dose] to assist in T4 conversion, hopefully- as I've been feeling rather underwhelmed by taking T4 [25ug] so far.

None of my tests for a few years show Iron level & only one the Ferritin level

[74 = 25% of range 30-300].

Is there an easy rationale/connection between the two types of Iron test?

I know haemaglobin levels reflect Iron status

It may be psychosomatic- but I do feel a bit better on the iron already.

[NB: I take apart from Levo.by 3-4 hrs]
