At last, doctor has started me on a trial of Levothyroxine 25mg so I am on the first step of the ladder

I went to doctors this morning and I sat while she looked through all my tests results since last October and she was still insisting my Thyroid wasn't to blame and what did I think would make me better.

I told her the symptoms that were the worst and that she said at my last visit she would start me on a trail of thyroxine.

Also gave me prescriptions for Ferrous sulphate 325mg (iron tablets), Ibuprofen 400mg three times a day and Omeprazole 20mg twice daily as she said i would get an exemption from perscription charges and signed the form for me. Blood test in 6 weeks

Will take my first Levothyroxine tonight and see how it goes over the next few weeks.

I know 25mg is not much but it is a start.

Thank you to everyone on here for your advice and support so far.

Glad to hear that you are getting somewhere :)

Sorry you haven't had any replies, there's not a lot of people around at the mo - site is supposed to be down for an upgrade and there are no email notifications going out! *sigh*

Hopefully everything will be up and running again by the beginning of next week...
