They have now taken me off liothyronine at 20mcgs 1 3 times a day and put me on thyroxine at 175mcg once a day until I have my radioactive iodine, but I don't have to come off tablets then due to having the tsh injections 2 days before the treatment :)

It always sounds as if having to come off thyroid hormone medications is an awful extra thing to go through - in amongst all the rest of the things people in your position already have. So sounds like that is, thankfully, one less thing. :-)

Yes thankfully. I won't have to have a high dose of rai either as am in low risk category. I got to have another op this time on my parotid gland for another tumour so have to get that out of the way 1st. Am hoping this dosage will make me feel less tired and more my usual self :)

Hi, I had the injections instead of coming off my meds before I had my yearly body scan and it was no bother! Before I had my RAI I was starved of my thyroxine and it was awful. Best wishes.
