Many of the abbreviations and acronyms used here have made their way into my document available here:

NDT is an acronym of Natural Desiccated Thyroid.
Typical brands are Nature-Throid, Erfa and Armour. All have a status of prescription-only in the UK - but are not licensed here so obtaining them is not straightforward.
