Has anyone had any experiences with Piping Rock Grass fed Beef Thyroid capsules

at £19.28 for 120 capsules it sounds cheap

It's definitely not NDT, it quite clearly states it is hormone/thyroxine free

However, how they remove any trace of hormone I don't know.

Thanks for that Seaside Susie, I’ve just been reading about Thyro gold and when I searched this was in the listings and I’d never heard of it

It looks more like a supplement similar to the old Nutri Thyroid, although contains a little more gland.

Thyro-gold was the new invention of Dr John Lowe - (doctor/scientist/expert on T3 /researcher/Adviser for Thyroiduk.org.

He deliberately made Thyrogold so that it could be bought without the need of a prescription. Many have found it of benefit and relief of their symptoms.

Unfortunately for us, the patients, he fell and had a brain bleed which caused Dr Lowe to die.

His widow, Tammy, now deals with the product.

Good morning shaws . I remember on this site many conversations about Dr John Lowe. I believed he was based in the UK? Just been looking at his website /Thyro-gold and the address is America.

I had long forgotten about Thyrogold,. and was wondering if it might be a good replacement for me when I finally run out of TR Mann NDT. I m not keen to go back to Levo/T3 or T3 on it's own, but I need to do something very soon as my current medication has nearly run out, and without a thyroid that could be quite uncomfortable to say the least.

Dr John Lowe was an American and that's where his lab was and he lived with his wife who has now taken over . Due to the pandemic there's been many medical products that have been scarce.

I am not looking forward to the swap either! I have 500 left, so short of a year left.

I took Armour till it changed, Nature Tyroid till it changed.

I tried Tru thyroid ( still have an almost full pot left) but it did not work for me. Meta Thyroid ? did nothing.

So not much else to try 😫 .

The shortages are always a worry, so I like to have a lot in stock.

Do you know the equivalent amount of thyro-gold for 100mg levothyroxine? I am not getting a reply from them.

I was interested in this as I take Metavive, which is whole pig thyroid gland < edited by Admin >

On the Piping Rock site it says two different things so is totally confusing. It says that the thyroxine (T4) component has been removed and then it says all the hormones have been removed.

I have contacted them to clarify things because if they have removed all the hormones then there is no point to the product. If they have only removed the T4 part then it would be a source of triiodothyronine, which would be useful for some people.

If there is anything useful to report in their reply I will add it to this post.

Lack of clear information, statements often conflicting with other statements - even on the same page, and so on, makes it very difficult to trust any of them.

Piping Rock don't seem able to answer what the point of their product is but did confirm that all hormones are removed, so it seems that using it is a waste of money.

I don't think it is as simple as using a filter paper or mixing in another ingredient.
