Hello For some time now i have been experiencing Bad stomach pains through the night and through day but they tend to get worse on a night and i have a lack of sleep due to it.
It also makes me feel sick , Also i get a pulsing sensation at the side of my stomach . Doctors have done a colonoscopy and endoscopy and it all came back clear, Plus aload of other test they reckon It's Ibs . Is there any advice on what i can do to relieve the pain as it tires me out.
I got a lot of relief from a physical therapist for abdominal pain, but you say your pain is "stomach". Does that mean it's most above the navel or below? Also got John Hunter's book Irritable Bowel Solutions which does seem to simplify things for me!
The pains is below and I tend to get a pain and achy feeling near my bowels and the pains unbearable , I have bought a book from the chemist about IBS it helped me understand more. Just can't shift the pain and sleepless nights and nausea it's awful .
I get these pains too and I used to have a colon cleanse, but it stopped working. The colon cleanse therapist said that it was because there was a blockage in the bowel and that's why it feels swollen and painful. I am still learning how to manage this, through this forum and what others who are more knowledgeable about ibs have tried.
Thank you for your advice , It's good to know that there is this site what people can give advice which makes me feel a little better . My pain is so unbearable it causes me to have sleepless nights which means i get exhausted through the day, I am still new to this as only just been diagnosed with IBS. I am on quite a few medications and had loads of test done which included colonoscopy and endoscopy which cam back clear that put my mind at ease as it couldn't be anything serious .Just got to find a way to deal with the pain. I hope you find a way to manage your Ibs and pain
A lot of people control IBS with diet, so, if your doctor diagnoses you with IBS you should ask them about a diet plan like FODMAPS. It can't hurt to try right?!
