Hi, i have a lot of stomach growling and rumbling which is extremely loud and can be heard from far away. People have commented on hearing a lot of noise and it makes me uncomfortable. I also get a lot of pain. The rumbling/growling happens most of the day and last quite a long time between intervals. Does anyone have any solutions on how to stop the noises?
I have been to the doctors and they dismiss me everytime i go and they said maybe i have IBS

Hi, I also have IBS and get some stomach rumbling. I have had several colonoscopies to rule other things out.if you're not happy then go back to your GP
Hi i am under 25 and the doctors do not take me seriously, they keep saying I am too young to have anything but problems do occur to people who are under 25 too . I have been 3 times already for this issue and they dismiss me. I am not sure how to proceed. Thank you
Thank you I will try this again. I already recorded the sounds and the GP did say they are loud but then they said IBS straight away. They did not offer me anything useful and recommended peppermint tablets which I already tried but they did not work for me
Thank you for the response funnily enough I have been to 3 different GP's in my surgery but no help. I think this is related to the surgery being in special measures
Hi, thank you for the response, yes I do have breakfast, lunch and dinner and 2 snacks in between . I am an average weight for my height and I make sure I always stick to a good eating routine
Growling noises are probably something borboygami, which are normal, they usually sound louder when your bowels inflated and cavernous. When my ibs 1st started I would get loud sounds, more so after eating, which is just the gut becoming active.
Things like cancer are less common in under 30s. The GPS may be looking at other things such as is your weight stable, is your appetite normal, are your energy levels OK, do you have altered bowel habit. I work with cancer patients and these are the usual signs you'd see.
Hi i do have loose stools all the time I told the GP that I get pain, loose stools and excess sounds but I do not get wind. The noises just are in my stomach. Thank you
Have a read through this article as it may help things seem a little .
If your stool are loose then your bowel is overactive (it sounds very much like mine have been with IBS).
I am currently following the fodmap diet, its a nightmare but im starting to learn what kicks my bowels off. If you do try it there is a brilliant fodmap app (fast fodmap) which is a database you can search to see if you can eat something.
Gross question, are gour stools every greasy looking, pale or floaty and foul smelling?
You might have malabsortion of fats or bile acid malabsorption. Horrible to say if your loose and foul smelling (stool may be light) try looking at the waters surface with the torch on your phone and if there seems to be a sheen on the top, if you do tell the gp about this and they could do faecal elastics testing. Also, worth taking a low fat diet for a while to see if it changes
