Left side new pain

I've got a new symptom lol. Pain at waist level about 3 inches to the left of my navel. It comes and goes and moving around sometimes helps. I do have diverticular in the left sigmoid colon but this is higher up in my abdomen. It's not like a normal churning IBS flare up - bowels relatively normal (for once!) It comes and goes and once I'd managed to go to sleep last night, it went until I got up! The newness is causing anxiety - good old IBS for that! Anyone had IBS pain in a similar location?

Sorry to hear that you have developed new symptoms. You don’t specify your age, or the duration of the new symptoms .

I think the best course of action is to consult your doctor as soon as you can so a correct diagnosis can be established. It’s quite likely that the cause can be identified in terms of one of your previous conditions, but you cannot assume this. Moreover, certain symptoms are not specific, so, just because I have similar symptoms, it doesn’t mean we are suffering from the same condition
