So a couple of years ago I started to get IBS pain low on the right side. Had scans etc, to check ovaries. Turns out it was definitely IBS pain. I have had it again since.
I'm currently in a flare up with low abdo pain, this right sided pain is back as well. But also it goes into the top of my leg?
Just feels like an ache, has anyone had this?
Thanks.

I had this too, had an internal ultrasound for my ovaries too which were fine like yours. Currebtly waiting for MRI of bowel and full cklonoscopy results
For up to an hour before a bowel movement my thighs and groin area become heavy and achey. It effects mentally. I become tearful and on edge. Its not just the pain I become angry with the situation. After the bowel movement I calm down again. It is very much a gut brain thing and I reckon a full bowel effects the vegus nerve but I don't see what we can do about it. It's just the way we are made.
I understand the link with the vagus nerve and the gut. But not sure it has anything to do with nerves reaching the legs. Mine doesn't seem to be linked to bowel movement.
Hi, just wondering if you’re experiencing this pain during your period (sorry I have no clue of your age)Only asking as I used to suffer terrible with pain in my right groin and right down the top of my thigh whilst on a period. Apparently it was endometriosis. I use to suffer really badly with ibs at the same time too.x
I'm on the progesterone only pill, so don't have periods. However I am having low abdo pain, that feels like period pain. But from posting in groups, I know people feel a similar pain and it's IBS. I am definitely coming out of a flare up from a trigger food. Who knows? Just more confusion around IBS!
Yeah 💯 it’s confusing. I think too if you know what’s causing your pain you’re able to cope with it better. I have suffered with ibs since my early twenties and I’m 54 now.For years my periods were painful but I’d have severe pain going to the loo too whilst bleeding. I put this down to my ibs but when I mentioned this at my colonoscopy the doc said it would be endometriosis. So unfortunately for me I suffered with both . At least now my periods have come to a halt so that’s one less pain ! x
My consultant told me that it has something to do with a nerve connected between the 2 areas, once I had severe pain that made me go to ER and they told me it is normal. Now I would know that my IBS is going crazy when this pain starts, sometimes my leg shakes as well.
