does IBS cause nausea? And why?
Yes it does! I went to the GP yesterday with this she said it’s sadly part of it for some people.
yes, I get nausea just before a flare up and I know that it's going to happen then. Appetite goes and I start feeling bloated and lethargic, headaches, lower back pain, the usual symptoms but nausea is common with IBS.
Nausea is often due to trapped wind. To prove the point try taking Rennie Deflatine if it becomes bothersome.
Another thing to try is 10 drops of ginger extract in a little water:

Constipation can cause nausea and reflux i think. As can dyspepsia (more upper gut i think but not sure?). But nausea is also a symptom celiacs get, have you been tested?
