Oh dear that's not nice. I have IBS d so have not experienced the sickness. But a friend of mine has constipation as she sometimes gets the sickness. But everyone is different I suggest wait until your GP appointment and prepare a list of questions to ask him/her. Good Luck🤞
Sickness is not a usual symptom of IBS. Best to chat your symptoms through with a doctor. There are other conditions like gastroparesis that might cause these symptoms.
Hi thanks for the reply yes I’ve got plenty to ask the doctors , I’ve had so many appointments over last few week there just keep say it ins and a sickness disorder
When I experience a sudden attack of anxiety I experience nausea which can last a few hours or sometimes a few minutes. I sometimes drink peppermint tea or have a piece of dark chocolate to counter act the nausea. I am aware that you can also buy peppermint capsules that help with nausea.
If you are experiencing this on a regular basis then I am sure that the GP would be able to prescribe something for you. Personally I try to avoid any kind of medication as I know it will probably upset my stomach.
Ginger can help with nausea, either ginger tea, ginger beer, or fresh peeled pieces of ginger root chopped and mixed with a little honey. The pieces should be about 2cm X 1cm or a little bit less thick, and they can be eaten 3 X a day.
That does help with nausea. Very small amounts of ginger (or a mild ginger tea) can help diarrhea also but too much will make it worse.
Hi, so sorry to hear you are going through it right now. I have IBS-mixed and often for no particular reason feel very nauseous, like I am going to vomit, but luckily for me, haven't ever. I found for me chamomile tea settles it and have recently discovered mindful meditation which helps a lot with both my pain and anxiety.I hope you find what works for you.
Hi sweetie av just read yr question and I can totally understand what u mean as also a couple of months maybe 6 or 8 I've experienced that same sensation, vomiting cramps and needing the loo , dizziness and I had to go home from work on them occasions and put a hot water bottle on my tummy to ease the pain and the next day I would b fine , I had a blood test and my calprocetin came back high too so I'm waiting for a colonoscopy as I'm not 100 percent that I have IBS but it sounds like it but they testing me for celiac disease and Crohn's
