I was indeed sent to hospital yesterday had a bladder scan urine retention but no answer to why this happened!! I’m so frustrated with the medical profession as they see on my record ANXIETY/DEPRESSION and they immediately go to that

These conditions do seem to have a similar effect on me. There are other posts on here which explain that IBS causes frequent urination, because the colon swells and put pressure on the bladder.

If my IBS is very bad, I have to go to the loo to wee very frequently, but often there is very little urine. It is a pain!

I agree with the previous poster though about discussing with your doctor. I don’t have a kidney infection.
