Are you eating gassy food? Is it only after lunch. It may not be a problem unless it is painful or embarrassing. If that is the case, maybe try to have something more bland and easier to digest for lunch. Also remember to drink water in the morning.

Thanks b1b1b1....Lunch is my main meal most of the time..l usually have bologna or a peanut sandwich. I also fix baked chicken allot of the time which l love too. Seems it can be just about anything and l get bloated. l stopped drinking coke colas which l love and it's helped a lot but not as much l had hoped. At night it can be dreadful too. Oh yes... water l have become to love too! Thanks again

I have awful wind/ gas as well. I spoke to my gastro. about this and said it was due to constipation. But I’m taking meds for this. So I don’t think that is the reason. I been on low Fodmap foods for a couple of years now. It helps a little. He also told me to take a probiotic, which I do. Sorry I don’t have the answer x

Angie11... Thank you for your reply! l feel for you because l know how you feel! l take linzess everday and l have bowel movements everyday and l'm glad about that! My gastro says it's the fiber l'm eating. But l don't believe that..... because l watch my fiber intake since my lbs started!

I also take linzess but had to reduce it to every 2 nd day , then 3rd, now hardly ever take it. I blame it for my wind problems plus Movical as well.

I take MOM.

I agree about fibre like you I watch my fibre intake. It has stopped me socialising big time.

I was advised to take bio kult. Hasn’t help at all.

Get checked for Coeliac disease. I was the same for years.. I was told I had ibs. But it was Coeliac disease I have. Get a blood test you got nothing to lose.

Thanks Kathmax for your reply! Sometimes l have an awful time with it! I do take Ibguard at times but l also find this doesn't help me a lot of the times either. Also Ibguard is expensive to me too!

I also have this problem and the low FODMAP helps, although I find it is onions and wheat which are the major culprits. I'm now going to try doing a test for gut bacteria and viruses to understand a bit more about myself. Have any of you done this? I'm going to try Viome but there are many other tests

I'm certainly going to ask for blood test to find out about the coeliac disease and other test to find out about the gut bacteria... Thanks Again MaltaGirl

I think gas and meal times are separate. It takes one hour for food to get through your stomach. Then another four hours to get through your small intestines. Then it gets into the large intestines where bacteria feed on your food and produce gas.

Gas depends on how much air you swallow and what you are feeding those bacteria (see FODMAP). Intestine motility and the curviness of your bowels determines whether gas gets stuck (=pain and bloating).

I coax gas along by massaging my stomach (deeply), by eating FODMAP and by doing gymnastics on the bed. I have Splenic Flexure Syndrome = gas bubble gets stuck.

My gastro says nobody who has regular bowel movements needs fibre. I am very glad of that, I eat as little fibre as possible. I thrive on broth, gelatine, full fat butter, whipped cream, ice cream, custard, egg yokes etc. Meat has fibre too btw.

Thanks so much WoolPippi for your reply! lm going to have to get a better meal plan too. I do love chicken and baked potatoes or fries with it! Milder than bolonga! Im tired of suffering with this and being afraid too! l know the meal l ususally have doesn't have a lot of protein either. So l'm going to have a softer side today! Thanks you Again
