Does anyone experience pain in the lower abdomen, below the navel, along the crease between belly and pubis meet? Like below where the belly pouch hangs, in that crease above the pelvis/fupa
Especially upon waking, feels like it tightens up upon waking

Well, strictly no since there isn't really a diagnosis for IBS, but no other concerns were raised follow blood and stool tests, and symptoms managed very well by diet (lucky).
Once or twice I got an ache just there, like a period pain almost, just a few hours before I got a flare up (D)
But really that area might be to do with the bladder? Especially as you say you wake up with it? Most people really need a pee when they first wake up. Does it get any easier after you've done a #1?
Sometimes my IBS has affected my bladder and I wake up with my bladder feeling so full. I don't know what that has to do with IBS technically, but in my own experience it can do sometimes, but not all the time. maybe some nerves are involved that affect both bowel and bladder. I don't know.
Yes, I did have that uncomfortable feeling and a little bit of pain a couple of times just before a sudden flare up. But I've had flare ups when that hasn't happened, so it only did about twice, maybe three times.
Also for some reason I can't understand, I pee a lot more when my gut is looser!. I don''t know why.
Sorry you had a flare of the D tonight. Never fun, is it? Did you eat anything that might have set that off? Often, I have eaten nothing suspicious when I get a flare up, and sometimes I can even eat those things and be just fine. Hope your tum calms down asap. I usually eat just white rice, nettle tops, white toast, and hard boiled eggs, steamed fish, when that happens and it helps to calm my gut down
yes I do in bed before I get up. I thought maybe it’s wind pushing on the bladder…..but I don’t know….I’m releived you asked question as others seem to get it. I thought it was just me. It can feel very disturbing when these new pains arrive….
I had this pain yesterday but it was where the elastic waistband in my leggings had slipped below my navel and the tightness and pressure caused bad pain. As soon as I pulled the leggings back up, the severe pain had gone. It may seem trivial but I have IBS and was worried.
