Recently had an Endoscopy after 3 years of feeling sick! Revealed inflammation of the stomach lining. I did have h-pylori which was discovered last year and then after 3 rounds of antibiotics was clear (about 6 months ago). They took biopsies at the Endoscopy to find out if it’s bacteria causing it.
Anyone else manage to kick chronic gastritis and if so how? Thanks

I don't know if I have gastritis(endoscopy next week) but for various reflux and IBS symptoms I'm now self-treating with slippery elm, having come off PPIs. So far so good.
I am so happy that you have mentioned this. I told so many of my friends about slippery elm and they did not believe me that it was the way to go for people who often suffer with acid reflux! Keep going with it
I would love to give you some hope but after having tests and found I have gastritis I am still waiting for a follow up appointment (if I ever get one) I wish you luck and if I get advice I will let you know
hey, I was just going to say the cabbage juice can be good for stomach ulcers if that is how your gastritis manifests, a solid and sort of burning feeling in the stomach whenever you have anything like this. Also, swapping deserts and chocolate bars (when you need that sweet fix) to yoghurt and honey will probably have a great and honey will probably help with the stomach lining also.
Hi, I was first diagnosed with chronic antral gastritis 8 years ago. Up till now I'm dealing with it EVERY SINGLE YEAR. It will come and go throughout your life. Your lining CAN get healed. Next 4 to 6 months take the bland diet which means no spicy oily dairy fried food. I confirmed my healing by doing repeat endo. But this diet can make u depressed and u can forget about social life for the time being. But ya, anything is worth to be pain free.
I just got the pain last week again after 1 year of being pain free. Triggered by fever. I have took over the years are all the ppi in the market. Now I'm taking rabeprazole 40mg with amritriptyline 35mg at night.
Hi. I was also diagnosed after endoscopy with H Pylori and mild chronic inactive gastritis in September 22. Went through the antibiotics course and had another endoscopy in March 23 which confirmed Helicobacter had gone or not seen but Mild chronic inactive gastritis was still present. I have been on 40mg pantoprazole daily. Symptoms gradually improved but since may 24 they have returned.. Symptoms mainly tightness or dual pain (sometimes sharp) in the upper abdominal centre right where the rib cage ends. Occasionally heartburn but not a daily Symptoms..
I would like to know how you are living with chronic inactive gastritis and what makes it better.
