hello. I had similar some 6 years ago. A pressure under my lower right rib. Gallbladder got removed, as had gallstones. However, dull ache/discomfort 6 years later still there. I have had every scan and blood test over the years all scans come back clear, bloods bit off sometimes but Dr. gives me no indication of anything sinister.
Maybe initially have your GB checked and take from there. Try not to worry. My Dr. does state we may never know what it is.
Have a Dr check for gallbladder issues. And all other potential issues. Usually an ultrasound. See a GI specialist for another opinion. Vary diet to see if that helps.
Hi. Yes I have had a very similar symptom for the past 5 years, I’ve had blood tests, gallbladder scan, physio etc and it has all come back normal. I’m constantly concerned like you that it is something more sinister.
Interestingly I had a japanese massage recently and I hadn’t mentioned anything at all about my right side pain but the masseuse immediately said I can see you are slightly inflamed on your right side, are you in discomfort? I was really taken aback. Her thoughts were it was likely to do with liver function. I haven’t proven this yet but if you google liver type pain it perfectly describes the upper right quadrant pain I have. Im not sure what to do next as I feel like I have been to the doctor too many times to justify going back with the same complaint.
Hi, I think it's better to see a GP / gastroenterologist once too much than once too little but understand your reluctance in calling your doctor's office again.
