Does anyone get a burning pain under their right rib? Mine seems to be caused by wind and gets better when I pass it or burp. I have had loads of GI tests and I don't have a problem with my Gallbladder and it can't be acid reflux as I am on strong PPIs for that and it happens anyway

Does anyone get a burning pain under their right rib cage?
Are you sure your gallbladder is fine I had a stone escape and I developed Pancretitas the pain was horrendous . Have you had an ultrasound on your gallbladder to check it. Hope you get sorted soon. Xx
Yes, but I get it on my left side. It is very sore when I have it. I do think it is related to what I eat. So I have to be really careful. I have been investigated for it and they found nothing! The story of our lives!
That's good it's not the right side it proberly is do do with what you eat that's true they can never find anything wrong. You take care.
I get it on my left side sometimes it swells up in a lump but no one can ever find anything or can say what it is!
I get it on both my right and left side but mainly on the right. I have had all the scans and no answer to whats causing it but im sure its definitely linked to what I eat.
I just posted this on another thread and it seems applicable here too:
Have you guys looked into the possibility of it being related to hepatic flexure syndrome? (That's an issue with the colon, also called the large intestine.) I've been reading about that, and the splenic flexure syndrome, due to a comment on another thread here. I think it fits with my own symptoms of pain under the ribs which can also go lower and sometimes even near my belly button, and the pain also often goes into my back between the base-of-the-ribs to waist areas. I really think it could be worthwhile for you all to look into this further, as I am also now doing. My doc agreed with me today that these 2 flexure syndromes seem a logical possibility for my issues. We still have to test it out to be sure, but I feel some relief (and less worry) knowing that my symptoms are probably due to the flexures. (I don't have a diagnoses of IBS, but I do have a slower digestive system this past year and a hiatal hernia. I think the hernia contributes to me getting air in my system which, along with the slower digestion, contributes to the problems with the large intestine.) Well, just mentioning it in case it might be helpful in any way.

yes I get the same thing , it also goes into my back , it is called hepatic flexture syndrome and is part of ibs . if you get it on left side it is called splenic flexture syndrome , can be really painful , hope this helps .
I have had bad pain under ribs for years, had colonoscopy and endoscopy 2 yrs ago. Seems I have a very long transverse colon. Severe constipation too which GP seems to say is the cause of pain.
Would appreciate any advice.
I have never had burning before until i had my third child. Every time I have to go the restroom and i hold it, the burning only increases. i feel relieve after going, but sometimes it just feels irritated and the pain radiated up my shoulder and down my leg. So what your doctor says makes sense to me. I have had my appendix removed, so i know its not that. I wonder if it could be irritated tissue that keeps getting irritated by our diets.
