Hi, I have a new pain in my right side slightly round to front and further round to back. Sometimes it stabs.
Does anyone experience this ? I am wondering if it is IBS related or something different.

Well, that's where your liver and gallbladder are located. It's possible you're starting to get gall stones and that could be the stabbing pains.
Hi LLWegeners,
thank you for your reply.
I had my gallbladder removed 4 1/2 years ago but it is a similar pain.
I have recently not passed a bowel movement for nearly 4 wks with severe bloating until taking laxido. I took 8 sachets in 6 hours on first day then next day four sachets followed by two the following day before any movement. I passed a lot of wind watery spurts of poo. I know my bowel didn’t fully clear. I have very loud internal rumbling on left side and internal farting noises with constant dull ache on right side which stabs now and then.
When I eat (even small amounts) my stomach blows up so much as if I’m pregnant.
It’s really worrying me…
Well GeeGee, I've been taking enemas all my life so I find that the best way to deal with this kind of stuff quickly and easily. I know most people can't deal with that so they resort to putting all sorts of chemicals in their mouth and as you point out, didn't seem to do a whole lot. Get yourself a 2 qt syringe and start out with 1 qt of soapy water using DR Bronners or some other mild soap. That should get things moving very well. Then do a rinse with as much water as you can take. Do this once a week and you should be good to go. I will add that it is a good idea to get yourself some probiotics to help keep your colon in good shape.
Hi LLWegeners,
Thank you for your advice.
I spoke to my GP, he said to take one Laxido every day. I have done this in the past and it wasn’t successful. I will give it a go for a short time and if it doesn’t work I will follow your advice.
The GP has referred me for another stomach ultrasound (I had one in the summer and the result was normal).
I will try some probiotics.
Many thanks 🙏
BTW, I had my gallbladder out probably about 10 years ago also. I will get bouts of BAM sometimes and because I'm taking an opioid painkiller every day, I get constipated and need a good clean out. I have my wife to help me so it makes things easier.
I had my gallbladder removed nearly 44 years ago and I was fine after, for years, no problems at all. Until the menopause started and IBS came with it. I get what you describe and I've been thinking for ages now that the lack of gallbladder is having some kind of effect as well as the IBS. When you've no gall bladder, the bile that the liver produces trickles into the small intestine instead of the gall bladder. You do have to stick with a very low fat diet and any fats should be unsaturated, good fats.
Good Morning Misspomfrey,
Thank you for your reply.
I am sorry to hear that you are suffering the same.
I did wonder if it had something to do with my gallbladder removal. Thank you for your advice with regard to low fat/good fat food. I had been comfort eating due to stress and I guess this has added to my problems. I have recently tried to improve my diet but am yet to feel any improvement. Time will tell tell I guess.
Best Wishes Geegee65
Any new symptoms that you are concerned about should really be discussed with your GP.
