I am currently intolerant to milk and several other dairy products. Does anyone know whether milk protein will affect me?

Milk intolerance
It depends what to what part of milk you are intolerant. I am intolerant, severely so, to whey - the protein part - but I am not intolerant to lactose, for example, or casein. So, that strikes out all whey containing foods.
Forgot to add - a friend of mine is intolerant to lactose but not whey, another intolerant to casein but not lactose or whey so it really does depend on the constituent of milk which affects you.
Thank you, and I had an intolerance test and it was the milk I was intolerant to (not lactose). So that does make sense.
Yes, me too. The one I took broke it down into all the components, hence why I know which bits! I'm hoping that I'll be free of the intolerance in some years! The first test was in 2016 and it showed up but I took the same test last year and it wasn't there. Yippee, meethinks. Tries yogurt, feels dreadful (my reaction in 2016 was almost true allergy, just no anaphylactic shock - not quite so violent last year but it's still there.). So tests are not 100% accurate. But 30 years ago, I was severely corn intolerant - it didn't show up on any tests. I can now eat corn with zero reaction. My GP and an orthomolecular doctor both say you can lose intolerances and gain new ones, the latter I've also had - to a large extent. Anyway, luckily there are so many alternatives now.
