Intolerance Testing

My IBS is triggered by intolerances. I paid YorkTest Labs to do an intolerance test and have had 3 over the years.

Cows milk and Egg White have come up 3 times.

Has anybody else had a food intolerance test, what service did you use?

I have done the york test and the test result came out as intolerance to:

wheat,

nuts,

eggs

Milk

My gastrologist stated the York Test is not very reliable so I have not followed the recommendations.

Using symprove probiotics and being on the low FODmap diet improved my IBS

I eat a lot of vegan foods to cut out egg and milk. I still bloat so wonder if its gluten as on my first test i flagged up intolerant to gluten but not on my last 2 tests although id been eating it.

Its hard!

I took the YorkTest Labs intolerance test a few years back and it came back with lactose and yeast. But I was a little skeptical about their service, and became even more skeptical since from things I have read and heard. But it is/was approved by Dr Hilary Jones so I thought it was legitimate.

However, I did follow their results and stopped taking these to see, and I do feel a bit better for it. On occasion I do have some bread, and sometimes I have a bit of a flare-up afterwards. I found brown bread really sets me off so I stay off that, as well as some white bread.

I have completely cut milk out and feel better, i havent cut out egg though but do try to eat vegan foods to ensure im getting no dairy or eggs but on occasion a lot had egg in.

Im very unsure on yorktest and spent hundreds with them. I still get bloating even when i cut out trigger foods, just getting fed up of looking pregnant!

Have you tried cutting certain foods out, one at a time, to see if any of those are causing the bloating?

I get bloating occasionally but I cannot put my finger on what is causing it. There seems to be no logic to me.

After years of trial and error, think I know exactly what foods trigger my IBS/lactose intolerance, although still occasionally get caught out! I never eat anything dairy and usually I find that Alpro products are fine as they are soya/plant based which my stomach seems to tolerate. However, tried a new Alpro soya and hazelnut dessert with my lunch a couple of days ago and within an hour or so of eating it, I was in the loo again with explosive diarrhea!! As at that lunchtime this was the only new thing, I tested it again the next day with the same result! Checking the ingredients on the packaging, can't find anything to associate with this extreme reaction - unless I've suddenly become allergic to nuts.....???

Hey! I did the York test over a year or so ago, mine came up with intolerant to everything!! Wheat, yeast, cows milk, gluten, buckwheat, coconut and much much more were on the high intolerant list!! I was like what on earth am I supposed to eat!!?? Wasn't sure how accurate the test was to be honest! And found it impossible to know what to eat other than rice chicken and veg!! 😂😂xx

My first one had 5 reacfives and millions of borderline. I did as they suggested and cut them out for 6months then tried one and left it two weeks and monitored my symptoms. Eating out was and is a nightmare
