Does anyone else struggle with different soya milks?
I normally drink alpro soya but for work they brought a big pack of Aldi own soya milk (which was lovely as my last place made me by my own)
But since drinking that more often I have found I am having more flare ups. It’s hard to pin point it as I have also been more stressed recently but its just made me think.

I do drink a lot of soya milk and these days try to buy the growers harvest from tesco mainly because its price matched to Aldi and that seems fine for my ibs, I did give up soya milk a few years back for a couple of weeks to see If it was causing me a problem and it made no difference for me.
I find stress can cause havoc with my ibs, but I think if you suspect it maybe an issue cut it out and see if it makes any difference, if its all inflamed I find everything I eat or drink hurts.
I say oats milk I have been on it for a lot of year and that is the only one that I can have also I drink bottled water only I cannot have any other and I have had I b s since I was 38years old and I am 82now hope you can find what you can have it takes a lot of trying thing to find out but you must not stress as that is one of the worse things you can do good luck x
I find soya milk too hard on my gut and I dislike the taste. I prefer coconut milk but find the own brands are often sweetened. Have a look and see if it's been sweetened as artificial sweeteners can be a trigger for some people
Yes. Agave is a trigger for me. It was ok when I had a little once in a while, then really hit me when I was using agave sweetened tonic water... I haven't tried any of the other synthetic sweeteners.
I can't drink oat milk cos I am gluten free. I was drinking soya milk and was OK with it, but my dietician suggested lactose free as I have low bone density and need the nutrients of cows milk. I didn't notice any difference. So now stick to lactose free, stress is my main enemy after gluten and lactose.
What are the ingredients in that one? I was shocked when I read ingredients list on "almond milk" once but that was years ago. It wasn't just almonds and water.
As lots of people are saying, look at ingredients, not all plant milks are equal!.Many add thickeners , sweeteners etc, certain of which I cannot tolerate.
My advise would be to look for the ones with only 3 ingredients, yes ONLY 3! My one has water, almonds and sea salt, most others have loads of other stuff added including oils like sunflower, who wants to drink that either.
Hi there, I now drink oat milk as a lot of dairy products affect me. I also use vegan spread. Anything with a lot of lactose goes straight through. Hope that helps.
