I have been advised to cut out milk, which is fine I have goats milk, but cream I find is made from oats, and I cannot have oats!
Anyone out there that can't have oats, re fibre issue, that has had cream made with oats? I'm wary of having it.

Hi Jv -so you are sensitive to oats as well to as lactose in milk ? I can't say that I am convinced that oat-milk would not have an element of soluble-fibre in it as that's the main aspect of oats (which actually makes them good for many with IBS..), though I daresay it is well-strained to remove such.
I know that there are brands that make a lot of milk-substitutes, oatly for example, as in from oats, but there are other milks out there -: there is also almond milk, soy milk etc. and simple lactose-free milk- most do a cream substitute too..
I recall having an amazing cream in malaysia that was referred to as a bean-curd cream and they also made ice-cream from it that was frankly nicer than regular ice-cream -there's lots of alternatives to oat-milk AND milk
There is St. Helens Goat milk cream which is in a small container sold in Waitrose . And you may be interested in plant ice cream which I think is by Alpro & comes in Vanilla flavour and Chocolate
Assuming your problem is lactose:
I don't know about cream, but Carnation makes an evaporated milk and it sells on Amazon. It's a bit pricy, but nearly everything for special diets is expensive.
I use it for mashed potatoes.
If you want thick whipped cream I had Soyatoo topping cream over christmas and it went really well with a hot mince pie For single cream I use Alpro single soya
Thank you
