If its something you've not had before see a Dr. It's not something I had but we are all different. Some medication can cause this so are you taking anything that could be?

That's a tricky one, headaches can be due to a number of reasons like stress, eye strain, knotted muscles, medications, not drinking enough water etc , have you had a look at the Dr John Lee website or books? I found his books extremely Helpful for dealing with my early menopause

Best wishes

I sometimes get the same symptoms due to menopause but i also have an issue with my neck from my job so its hard to know the main cause. It can also be blocked sinuses too. Like someone said a visit to the doctor should pinpoint why with luck.

I suffer with headaches and the occasional migraine I was in hospital for a week as they thought I had temporal arteries after having a headache for over 4 weeks....after having numerous tests including a lumbar puncture they said it was just hormonal 🤷🏼‍♀️ they've been better since I started hrt

Hi Do you mind me asking what form of HRT you are taking?

I don’t take any yet but my sister in law had the hrt gel and she swears by it

Maybe I will try the doctor again, it's a man doctor though, and he is very keen on stressing the problems with HRT, I have a problem however with a annoying headache which really gets in the way of my life.

I'm on estrodot 75 mg my symptoms were horrendous including daily headaches terrible low mood brain fog painful intercourse 😞and anxiety...I initially saw a female dr who said I could never have hrt because I suffered from migraines I changed my gp and they referred me to a hrt specialist she was amazing and said the gp was talking nonsense! I had cervical cancer when I was 28 luckily i kept my ovaries and they hung on until I was 49 but a lot of women go through it younger. As far as I'm concerned and my lovely new gp the benefits out weigh the risks for me hrt can also protect us from serious health issues like strokes heart disease osteoporosis etc as well as keep us sane. Obviously headaches can be a sign of something else sinus problems can cause these types of headaches too so don't give up life's to short to feel like rubbish we have enough problems with our ibs 🙄 good luck xx

I have had a headache nearly every day since March! I too think it could be hormonal, but can I get a doctor to listen when I suggest perimenopause? No I can't , I did have a weeks reprieve, but now headaches are back, it is like at the top and back of my head. I thought it was stress, and quite one of my two jobs, but I still have it, I have tried changing my diet, and everything.

Oh my god that’s exactly where I have my headaches, I asked my dr is it hormonal and she said no as my periods are the same, I’ve said about peri menopause and she said doubt it, I’m 47 so don’t get why she said doubt it. She said it’s muscular and could be my neck muscles too. I’ve had the headache for at least 6 weeks and dr just seem to care. What pain killers work for you as paracetamols don’t x

Hi nothing takes it away! I have tried paracetamol, ibuprofen, antihistamine, I rang the doctor 3 times, and then got fed up of being told no. He referred me to a man who could do some relaxation techniques, but that guy said he didn't think it was a tension headache. I am 49 and haven't had a period for 6 months. I would like to try HRT but my doctor keeps warning me off.

Same my dr says tension headaches, then says it’s from my neck and got to pay for physio she won’t have it that it could be peri menopause so I’ve paid to have a blood test today to see if it’s my hormones. I’ve had a full blood count and all that was good, I’ve had eyes tested all perfect so may be it’s stress but if I didn’t have the headaches I may feel better.

I had an eye test too! Just in case, how weird we could be cloned, why is it so hard to get someone to listen to us.

Hi I was put on HRT and I got given HRT patches and the pill. They work well I was seeing a male doctor but he was not wanting to give me anything so I asked to be seen by a lady Dr and she was more helpful and did blood test which came back that I was menopausal I'm 48 and I started last year so keep on at ur Dr or if u have a female Dr ask to see 1 off them.
