Feeling lightheaded all the time could this peri menopause?
I am 48 and pre menopausal I get dizzy spells and headaches with hot flushes and other symptoms have u experience any other symptoms I started menopause last year
Headaches, dizziness, off balance, can’t sleep, anxiety, sometimes nausea, hot flushes now and again, but the lightheaded sensation is awful at the moment don’t know what to take or do x
Speak with your go they may take bloods my last bloods said my overis where dying fast as I was admitted to hospital as was having palpations with it aswell hope you get sorted
Having hormone blood test tests the 7th June, had normal blood tests all come back good, what blood tests did you have to show your ovaries were dying fast. ?
Hormone blood test but I haven't had a period for years as I had a microwave ablation years ago so stopped my periods so the hospital said I could of been going through the menopause for years but only started with the symptoms when I was 47 same as you hope you find the answers in your next blood test they wanted to put me on HRT but I wasn't wanting that as read loads of side affects.
Same I don’t wanna go on hrt but I want something to help with my dizziness, I’ve been told taking a b12 supplement so just started that but if you think you can think of anything that will help please give me a shout everything is worth a try
Will do a fan helps to stand near when ur having a hot flush but I get loads during the night I'm like a yoyo covers on covers off 🤣
I went through menopause early - in my late 30's. Main symptom was hot flushes and a feeling of being a much greyer version of myself. A good Gynae sorted me out with HRT. I did have dizzy spells, anxiety, crushing fatigue etc. too but this was linked to a B12 deficiency. I'm now on B12 injections for life. A lot seems to go on around menopause time, it's horrible I know. I hope you get some answers and feel better soon ❤️
I've had periods of being very lightheaded & dizzy in the past. My doctor put me on a low dose of amitriptyline (10mg) which is often used for IBS & it helped. But definitely follow up on the perimenopause/hormone investigation route first.
Good luck!
I also have that problem dizzypants. And not sure if is due to my IBS/GORD or due to pre menopause, because sometimes I feel it even if I don't have gastrointestinal symptoms. It is very annoying so I totally understand how you feel.
I also suffer with gord although touch wood that’s been ok recently but the past 3 days my dizziness and headaches have been awful my mum says it’s because I’m day 14 so could be ovulating which makes my hormones even worse, or am I getting the headaches and dizziness coz I hardly sleep , it’s really getting me dow and makes me worry it’s something more serious x
Hi. I get exactly the same. Felting dizzy especially innthe evenings. Foggy feeling in my head everyday. Tingling and pins and needles in the body . I sympathise with you. Im 47 and thinking its the per I menopause. Not sure what to do about it
My dr puts it all down to stress and anxiety but I believe it’s peri menopause so after a few phone calls to the drs I’ve demanded a hormone blood test to see if it’s down to the menopause in one way I hope it is then at least I can rule out bad things that go on in my head as I’m terrible for over thinking things.
I'm glad you persisted with the docters. I suffer so much with my periods every month. Least when you get these tests done it will put your mind at ease . It would be good to know if it is menopause symptoms. Least then you are more prepared. Not thinking its something else. Good luck. Let us know how you go xxx
Will do, got to wait til the 7th June for the test but at least it’s booked, do you get headaches too? I’ve never really suffered with headaches but the past few months I’ve been getting loads and the dizziness, the mood swings the anxiety it’s off the scales, I’ve had eye tests all good, I’ve had all blood tests they come back all good so now it’s down to the hormone bloods x
You can get lightheaded if you are thirsty or you could have blood pressure, or maybe you might need your eyes checked if you don't already wear glasses, I'm 62 I never experienced lightheaded during or before menopause but everyone is different so you need it checked
Blood pressure is fine, eye tested last week all good and yes will keep drinking water and see if that helps
