Slightly Raised Calprotectin and FIT Test. What Now?

This is a follow up to my last post: healthunlocked.com/theibsne.... In summary, I'm a 27-year-old female and I've been having lower abdominal pain and trapped wind pain (only at night!) since about September last year. I'm now experiencing some lower back pain as well.

Since my last post, I've had a negative h-pylori test and negative blood tests. I've had two stool tests: FIT test and calprotectin. The FIT test came back slightly above the normal range, as did the calprotectin test. My doctor then arranged a follow-up blood test to check for anaemia, which came back negative. Both stool tests are only just outside the normal range, in grey areas, so what does that mean? Does it mean there's inflammation somewhere? I've been referred now to gastroenterology, but still no closer to finding out what it is, and unfortunately the waiting list is long.

I've had no stool changes during any of this, just the lower abdominal pain and trapped wind, which is why I don't think I have IBS. My doctor gave me Laxido to try, even though I don't think I'm constipated (I've always gone 3 - 4 times a week and this has always been normal to me) he said to try and soften the stool to see if it provided any relief. I took two sachets for three days, now I've got diarrhea! I assume it's from the laxatives. I've been off them now for two days and still loose, so just waiting to see if the effects will wear off soon or if it's something else.

Still waiting for pelvic ultrasound results to be reviewed by the gynaecologist to investigate possible PCOS. The sonographer visualised lots of follicles on my ovaries, but it needs to be reviewed by the specialist. It's been nearly two months now... This month, my period hasn't come either, which is a first. I don't know what is going on with my body!

Did you find out the problem of the pain?

No, I've been referred to gastroenterology but the waiting list is long :(. My calprotectin level has since come back normal and my iron level is low, but not in the anaemic range. My doctor has no idea what it is and said there's nothing more he can do, and I just seem to be getting worse. I've been prescribed morphine to try and sleep but even that's not working for the bloating/squeezing sensation that's keeping me up all night. I've averaging about 3 - 6 hours' sleep a night and I just feel terrible. I don't see any end in sight at the moment.
