Stitch in lower right abdomen

I was diagnosed with intermittent IBS about 10 years ago, only troubled usually for a few weeks every year or two. Since October now, I've been having various abdominal discomforts that is generally getting better. However, I get this momentary "stitch " in my lower right abdomen a half dozen or more times a day, always in the same location. I am 60 yrs. old, btw. The consistency of this location is really scaring me. Can't help but wonder if there is cancer there or something really serious. I'm used to the various and vague and moving sensations- gurgling, cramping, gas, etc., but this is different and often triggered if I bend over. Is this part of IBS? Does anyone else experience this? Thanks!

Have you ever been tested for h pylori

Thanks for your reply! I did just have a blood test for h. Pylori - haven't heard back yet, but have a phone appointment with my physician next week.

Hi there I also have been getting this for over a year Doctor don’t know what it is going for colonoscopy soon I get it when bending forward too x

Thanks for responding! I have been referred for a colonoscopy, but with covid, it will probably be a long wait. I'm sorry you have it, too, but glad to know I'm not alone in this sx.

Me too! I can deal with the discomfort if I know it is nothing of concern. It really worries me since it is so specific.

Often, yes. Don't know if that is because of the BM itself, or just the bent position. Do you get it then? Does your physician have any thoughts? My physician is so new and impatient with all of this.

My doc just says it’s ibs well I’ve never had this pain before with it x

I am guessing that that is what my physician will say as well. And I, too, have never had this pain before. Do you get it with a BM as well?

Yes I do not all the time pain is sharp stitch right side of bellybutton also get tugging feeling thought it was a hernia doc sent me for ct scan on urinary system and total abdominal area came back normal !! X

Have had good replies to it on here could be h pylori , ileocecal valve syndrome , doc not tested me for h pylori so let me know how that goes with you x

That must be nice to have had a CT scan, somewhat reassuring. I talk with my physician on Tuesday and will it let you know if I test positive for h pylori. I have had an ultrasound and it was basically normal . They could not see the ovaries but could see the area around them and everything looked fine Thank you so much for your responses.

Hi! Just getting back to you after my telephone appointment with my physician. The H pylori results should be back but aren't so she is going to look into that. She is also going to get me a fit test and a c t scan.

Hi! Sorry - I guess I replied to myself above. The results weren't in and should have been so physician is going to look into it. I get a CT scan on January 5 so will check out results for that and h. Pylori after that.
