Nausea in the evenings

Hi this is my first post here! I wanted to ask if anyone else experiences nausea in the evenings, usually about 90 minutes to 2 hours after eating? What I'm eating doesn't seem to matter. I've had digestive problems for 5 years now, I've had blood tests, a gastroscopy, tried low fodmap for a while and cut out various foods. My GP tried me on lansoprazole but that didn't make any difference either and prochlorperazine for a while - although she stressed this was not a longterm solution. I'm currently on the pill (because the issues seemed to be affected by my menstrual cycle), daily probiotics and have been working with a nutritionist for 6 months so my diet is probably the healthiest its ever been - but still the nausea persists. As well as in the evenings i also tend to feel nauseous before and after i pass a bowel movement. Does anyone have any advice or things they've tried for nausea that worked for them?? It's the symptom i want to cure more than any other, I feel like it's ruining my life. Until 2015 i didn't have any persistent digestive problems at all.

Anxiety, health problems consciously or subconsciously stir up emotions more when the mind is not busy. Keeping the mind challenged diverts the attention, relieving anxiety and subduing the symptoms. Sadly a lot easier said than done as it is impossible to do 24/7. If it is anxiety no amount of probiotics will help.

Nausea can be caused by trapped gas or anxiety. It seems you have looked extensively at your diet though since have looked into whether specific foods are causing you trapped gas. Did you do totally low fodmap for the whole 2 weeks and using booklets given to you by an NHS dietitian (if in the UK)?

In terms of the symptom itself you could try extract of ginger.

I think nausea is...unfortunately..a pretty standard symptom of IBS. In my case it goes together with the bloating....as the bloating increases, so does the nausea. I have tried anti nausea medication but dislike the side effects.

For me, the best solution is ginger tea or sweets...all available from Holland and Barrett. The relief is temporary but better than nothing.
