I can only offer general advice and information as I am not medically qualified. Reduce your alcohol consumption and stop drinking all fizzy drinks, stop eating peanuts, sweetcorn, Brussel sprouts and baked beans. Also, you can ask your GP or GI team if a fodmap diet would be appropriate, and, if so, can they refer you to a dietician to assist you with your problems.
Sorry to hear you haven’t found your ‘trigger’ yet. Remember that whatever you do takes 3 months really to get into your system. Try a course of Symprove. It’s quite expensive but I found it was what stabilised me. Good luck.
Hello, search for "overcame ibs-d" in the search bar of this website, for the post I made on this a couple of weeks ago. You are going the right way, be strict on the low Fodmaps for 3 weeks to start with.
Hi, it could be you have become intolerant to yeast. I have the same problem. I also cannot tolerate dairy/lactose. I have really bad IBS and am on an extremely limited diet. You can become intolerant to quite innocuous things as I am, like sunflower oil or one of the sugars. Mine is dextrose but many people can't tolerate fruit sugars such as fructose. I control my IBS by not eating fruit and the only veg I can eat is carrots. I was adviced 2 yrs ago by a dietician to not eat fruit other than a few blueberries now and then. My advice, Keep to a low fibre Fodmaps diet, exclude anything with yeast in it for a month (this includes vinegar, wine and apparently mushrooms) just to see eat fibre soluble veggies but no fruit. Good luck. Stay safe
Please avoid any food which irritates your stomach. Lactobacillus +Acidophilus is a friendly
bacteria known as probiotics, which encorage a healthy balance in your digestive system, boost immunity and increase resistance to infection. Aloe Vera juice is very effective for
digestive disorders, bloating, gas and flatulence. Pepper mint oil capsule calms the stomach
and aids the digestion. These worth a try until you are able to see a doctor.
