How many Imodium to take?

Hi there

I'm needing to travel today and my stomach has been all over the place for a couple of days haven't eaten much over Christmas as felt so bad. How many Imodium can you have ? It says 6 on the box ?

I can only suggest that you stick to the recommendation. Some people care more sensitive than others to imodium. Do you have anything you could take temporary for the anxiety? I find I'm more stressed any time I travel as I worry about needing to go the toilet 😔safe journey

I used to take an ungodly amount of over the counter anti diarrhea meds. However many it took to get my stomach to stop spasms. Up to 8 doses.

I told my GI doc and he didn't bat an eye.

I'm not suggesting you do this. It makes my blood pressure go high, and if course I'd be constipated the next day.

I went low fodmap and rarely need meds now.

I usually take 2 and if I get a twinge I’ll take one more! I have recently been trying enterosgel as an alternative to loperamide (I was buying loads of boxes a week!) and found that it stopped my diarrhoea for a few days! It’s definitely not portable though as you need a spoon, glass and water but it’s worth a try!!

Hi I was doing low fodmap for y months and didn't see any improvements at all. I tend to only use Imodium if I have to but currently only left the house twice in 2 weeks
