Has anyone tried Citrucel for constipation? Fybogel gives me stomach ache so I`ve given up on that but my GP has never mentioned Citrucel - perhaps it`s not available on prescription?

I cannot find any where in the Uk to buy it, it does give amazon but checked and it’s not on the website.

Thanks. It looks like it isn`t easy to obtain in the UK - I wonder if that is because there is concern over its safety. Now I have read some personal reviews I feel nervous about using it anyway as it seems to be recommended for diarrhoea more than constipation

Hm I would be careful, not sure about the product, how many fibogel are you using in a day, I take one each evening after food, but I am finding that’s to much, and I am going to the toilet to many times in a day, I am trying to get back to a normal bowel movement in the morning, I do use chia seeds on my porridge each morning, a natural fibre, bought from Aldi or health food shops, also I have ordered psyllium husk capsules 750mg, I already have the powder but you have to mix this with water and a juice, it doesn’t taste nice else, and drink fast otherwise it forms a gel, it has the same ingredient as Fibogel, but without all the additives, if you are interested look on powder form Amazon Psyllium husk blonde, capsules psyllium capsules 750g company Prowise healthcare, this company do the 750g so much stronger than most.
