Currently being tested to see if I have colitis or chrones because they aren’t sure if it’s IBS. I’m really worried because I have read it could lead to having a stoma bag, wondering the likeliness of this outcome?

There are a lot of stages to get through, before a stoma comes into play. Obviously depending on how much of the intestines are affected, and indeed, with what disease. At the moment, you should concentrate more on feeling better than worrying about what treatments are going to make you feel frightened for the future. I have had Crohn’s disease for 52 years now, and have had multiple problems and resections during this time (I am unfortunately in hospital with a flare at the moment) but never had a stoma. So don’t worry about what might not happen. Concentrate on living your life.
