Hello,
I had had IBS since tbe age of 14 when I will use the corner of a table into my belly to ease off the pain. Over the years the pain has changed tremendously. I am now 54 and I can no longer baer it.
It wakes me up at night. I find it difficult to explain but it is a burning sensation that echoes in my back. Also I can not breath as it is quite painful. It feels like my bowels are all glued together and as if they are inflammed. I never know how I would wake up the next day every night.
I wake up moaning and crying. Walked, completly hunched as I can breath. Untik I go toilets this pain would last. The first poo is painful and hard followed by very smooth stool. After that I get better throughout the day, and can get on with it.
However, since 3 weeks, the pain carries on throuhout the day. Back pain, difficulty breathing as each breath echos in my belly. My stool turns from hard to soft in a day, thoug very watery on Thursday. This has been going on for 3 weeks.
Doctor just gave me a week off. I am new there and I am anxious about losing my job now, four months into it.
I dont know what to do. I changed my diet to glutten and wheat free food, as well as lactose free. Nothing work. I was prescribe amitriptyline, 10mgx2. I sleep better but the pain is still there.
My symptoms are not understood. Anyone here has experienced this?
I can no longer coop. I am scared of eating and dread going to bed andthat, more and more, which does not help my blood pressure which is getting hogher and higher constantly because of the pain and the lack of sleep.
Anyone?
Matnik
