Mebeverine?

Hi everyone. I’ve been prescribed mebeverine for my Ibs today. Has anyone had any luck with this medicine?

Yes, I use it in conjunction with buscopan and it works well for me to ease the cramps! Good luck x

I use buscopan and senocalm ibs and they woke together.

Also good probiotic

Very useful but you do have to take it 20 mins before a meal & ideally take regularly for 4 weeks at least. My Dr told me that you can take Buscopan as well if needed as that is like paracetamol for the gut!

Yes have used Mebeverine on and off for 10yrs.

I take it as soon as I get an IBS attack and stop gradually until it subsided.Works for me with Greek yogurt at breakfast

Hi, mebeverine on its own did not help me but mebeverine AND peppermint oil dealt with my stomach pain almost immediately. I still have pains on and off and other symptoms that continue but these together were a big help. Good luck.

Hi cc princess, I take it 3 times a day & it works for me with no side effects, I also take Fybogel once a day which helps
