I’ve been suffering with bursitis and sciatica in my left hip since November 2017. The gp has now decided to refer me for a steroid injection in my upper thigh/below bum cheek to help. Just wanted to hear peoples experiences of these injections/ side effects/ benefits/risks, etc. Thanks xxx

Steroid injection good or bad?
Hi,
I don't have quite the same problems as you, but I've had 4 steroid injections for severe pain caused by a spinal condition. For me, the benefits of these was minimal and very short-lived, however, I have a friend who had an injection several months ago which has brought her continuing relief. I think they are like so many things (including IBS remedies!), they work for some but not for others, but definitely well worth a shot. As far as I know there are no side effects.
Steroid injections usually work well. They should with corona virus make it very cheat lower your immunity. Only started doing them again 6 weeks ago in my area but after being sure worth the risk. I have low immunity as on Steroids daily My grandaughter who is at school in my bedroom had to agree too risky. He would of done it otherwise.
