I’m currently in the middle of preparing for tomorrow’s colonoscopy but I have a problem I really can’t seem to drink any more moviprep without being sick, it making my head aches worse and my temp is 33.9. Can someone suggest something to help also is there any chance I can stop drinking moviprep if my bowel is clear? X

I’m really sorry I can’t help, not been through it yet but next on the list.
Just wanted to send sympathies as it sounds like a really horrible process. And good luck for tomorrow, a few more hours and it’ll be over. All the best x
I have done the prep twice, second time I had a different prep drink and it was much easier to digest. Moviprep is tough at the best of times. I added loads of apple cordial and set to it. If I was you I'd stop, drink some clear fluids and try and settle down.
Hi There, I was the same, I just could not take any more, I let them know and they wouldn't take me, so had to get another appt. but his time asked for some "Picolax" you only have to take a glass of it twice, so much easier, so if you find you don't manage it all, let them know, and get another appt, and ask for the Picolax, Good Luck.
Thanks deffo not going to tell them I’ve not drank it all I’m still trying to drink it now but I should have finished it an hour ago now. So I’m going To stop after this glass of it as I’ll have drank most but then I was sick soo. But thank you for replying
After the first jug of moviprep and got all hit and itchy so was told to stop they wouldn’t take me so had to do it all again with picolax and was much easier
Hope it all goes well for you. and if you have to go through it again, as I have, they will automatically send the Movilat, phone them and tell them you want the Picolax and they will send it, Good Luck.
It’s evil a revolting drink but needs must good luck just relax go with it. Nerves about the actual procedure doesn’t help with the feeling sick but it’s over quite quickly and you have a wonderfully empty bowel for a few days. Count the positives it helps. Xxxx
I’ve only just seen this. When I had Moviprep I wasn’t told I could drink clear squash or suck hard boiled sweets - would’ve helped a bit!
Good luck today, hope all goes well - you’ve got the worse bit over and done with! 🌸
Yes I put cordial in with mine which helped. Hopefully you’re all cleared out, is it clear when you go to the toilet? If not then I wouldn’t go through the hassle of the colonoscopy for them to turn you away. Good luck, hope it goes well and you get an answer x
Hi there, It's awful stuff, Speak to the hospital and ask if you can put some dilute orange or blackcurrant in it. They let me do that but you must check. You have to drink it or they can't do the procedure unfortunately. Good luck. 😊
Most Dr's prescribe anti nausea medicine also - Also it is not just about emptying it is about it being super clean. There is nothing worse than prep other than having to do it all over again because there were items left over in the intestines.
If you Te still worried you could phone 111 and ask a dr to phone you..can’t remember what I took but nothing happened till 4 am..111 assured me that it would work before morning..and it did ..then phone hospital in the morning like others have sAid..good luck anyhow
Thanks everyone all done now absolutely nothing showed up at all which is good but not at the same time as I am no where closer to knowing what is wrong. Does anyone else seem to get pins and needles in their ribs area
I had a colonocopy a couple of weeks ago they said they had found nothing but now my doctor says he wants to do it again with a different Camera??? The moviprep was brutal on my stomach I really don't think I can handle drinking that much again. Did anyone have problems after the colonocopy ? It took 2 weeks for my guts to return to it's normal state.
