Piles and Thrush

Hi all is it possible to get thrush and piles at same time. I have internal piles as doctor has told me but also think I have thrush as have blue streaks on paper when I wipe and also on nipples. Where do people have theirs and what do you take for it.

Thrush is normally white with red spots , but it’s possible to get it vaginally and orally as well breast and have piles at the same time . In the breast it is normal very red , inflamed , painful and dry . It’s quite rare to get this if you aren’t breast feeding and rare to see any white markers . It’s a fungal infection - have you had antibiotics recently as they may have caused it ? It can be treated by antifunfal cream or ointment to the breast and vaginally by a pessary or oral treatment such as fluconazole . Due to the “blue” colour and breast without pain I assume (?) I would suggest going back to your GP to make sure it’s thrush - and I wouldn’t go along the yoghurt line due to breast involvement . Hope that helps
