Pregnancy hormones can do strange things to our bodies but if it's that painful and sore I would get checked out by a GP and maybe they can give you something to help.

You need to take a high amount of magnesium citrate or oxide. About 800 to 1200mg. I have had Ibs c almost my whole life and am now in my fifties. This is the best natural supplement to take for this condition and I have tried many. Even my consultant recommended it. I take it every day. You must take it on an empty stomach just before bed with lots of water. I would start with a high dose initially just to clear you out. Even if it means taking a few capsules. I sometimes take 6 200mg capsules. Capsules are the best not tablets and it has to be citrate or oxide as these are the ones that work for constipation. There is a lot of information about constipation and magnesium on the internet. The ones I take are either Now foods Magnesium citrate, Solgar Magnesium Citrate or Life extensions. I get mine from the US on a site called iHerb, but you can get them on Amazon. There are other magnesium oxide products specifically for colon cleansing called Mag 07, Colosan and Oxypowder. They are a bit expensive but are amazing. I use these in between. No cramps no bloating, just relief. You can get these on Amazon as well. Don't suffer any longer. By the way I also follow a low fodmap diet through a dietician but this alone does not help constipation.

Hi

I suffered IBS constipation recently for 2-3 months continually. Everyday was uncomfortable.

I eat healthily anyway, but I increased my veg and water intake even more, still didn't help. No matter what I ate, or exercised more, was still constipated

After some research, I realised that stool size is made up from around 40%-70% good bacteria rather than fibre, and that the majority of people with digestion issues tested had a 80% bad- 20% good bacteria ratio hence bloating and constipation. (Bad bacteria doesn't form bulk just gases). It also means that no matter what you eat, you will not be getting full nutrient absorption (Friend of mine has Sibo and after a blood test, doctor prescribed iron as he was so deficient. However doctor was amazed as my friends quality of diet was classed as "outstanding"

I went to Holland & Barret and started taking a high strength probiotic. This did the trick within a few days. My constipation has gone, I feel empty, bloating has gone. Even when I then ate no fibre food, stool movements were easy to pass and not constipated. You can eat the tablets with milk or yoghurt to feed the good bacteria.

Apparently as well, when mothers breastfed they pass their good immunity onto the child to form the child's own bacteria system is matured at 6months. (Children with a good bacteria system don't suffer as from diarrhoea etc.)

Hope my experience helps

I have consulted this with my GP, he is given me a syrup to take every day, and GP said I have inner fissure due to constipation. My main issue is to heal inner fissure, I tried an ointmemt GP prscribed but it does not seemto heal. When I empty my bowls it hurts me and pain and burning stays for few hours.

Has anybody sufferd with the same issue may be?

Yes i have pain after emptying my bowel, i have a haemmorhoid or two on the inside which causes the pain. I also have pain in my colon after emptying which is sometimes worse. Did you suffer from haemmorhoids when you were pregnant, it is quite common?
