Hello, I have been reading up on natural remedies for IBS C, in particular excess wind and bloating, constipation and Aloe Vera has come up, has anyone tried it? And how do they find it please?

Has anyone tried Aloe Vera for IBS C
I've never tried it but I do know that it's one of those pyramid selling products and I think once you get sucked in it could cost you a lot of money.
I once shared a kitchen at a community hall with a big meeting of aloe vera sellers, they were all waiting for Mr Big to arrive in his new Porsche.
They talked like selling it was some sort of religious revival, it was scary and the poor sods at the bottom didn't seem to realise that they weren't really likely to make enough to get a Porsche if their own, or that they were all working for Mr Big to have his.
So, I'd be very careful, I know some people swear by it but as it seems to be able to cure everything from bunions to dry skin to you name it I'm not sure I'd want to get involved with it.
Aloe Vera can help relieve ibs but it has to be the gel and not aloe Vera juice
I tried Aloe juice from Holland & Barrett. Start on small doses, like a teaspoon with a meal and work up. Once you start to feel better cut back down again as you're not supposed to be on it long term apparently. I think it caused rashes for me but nothing major and worth putting up with for the benefit to me gut. I hope this helps
If you decide to try the gel do not buy very much to start with. I remember a seller telling me that one of her clients, who was a commercial pilot, had to stop taking it because it gave him "D", not ideal for someone who cannot just get up from his seat and go to the loo!
