Good evening, my name is Sam and I'm 35 years old and family genetic bowel condition called FAP. 20 years old I had an operation to remove my large bowel and had a j pouch made. This works like a 2nd small bowel. Now fast forward 20 years and back in December 2016 I had an emergency operation after severe stomach pains. I now a ileostomy bag whether it's temporary or permanent my partner and I will be able to deal with it. It's fantastic to see forums like this, I know where to go if I have cause of concern with the fact someone can help. Thank you for reading this. X

I haven't been a member of this forum for very long - but I belong to another forum, and one of their specialist areas is FAP - another is stoma and J pouches, you may also find it supportive
