I have IBS, but have it fairly under control, by diet. Lot's of foods I haven't re-introduced as yet though. Has anyone used this Silicolgel and have you found it helps, plus do you take it as a preventative measure or take it regularly anyway. I spoke to the manufacturer and they suggested taking it for 4 weeks the off for 4 days.

Silicolgel
I have found Silicol gel a great help but I only take it when I think I am going to have a problem. I am away in the Lakes at the moment so I take it every morning because I am not always sure how quickly I will be able to find a toilet if I am out for the day. I also take it when my stomach is upset.
I use Enterosgel, which is what you are asking about, I believe. I have tried other products that claim to have the same results, but they don't work like Enterosgel. I, like Mmaj above, take it at least twice a day if I am travelling, starting the day before I leave the house, otherwise I take it once a day, to keep on top of things. Very expensive, but works a treat. Not for everyone I don't suppose, but you have to try it before you eliminate it. Here's a link, I hope: amazon.co.uk/Enterosgel-225...
I hope you find it works for you, it's like being given back your freedom.......good luck
