Hi,
Has anyone tried Silicolgel or anything similar to treat their symptoms? I've just bought some to try and just wondered if anyone else had.
Thanks

Quite a few people have posted on here about Silicol Gel and, like every other IBS treatment, it seems to work for some and not others. It did absolutely nothing for me.

I have tried it and it helped. I take it with a little water added which makes it easier to swallow..
didnt do a thing and is vile to take
Thanks for the replies. I'm still getting used to the site so didn't know how to search for previous posts! I've bought it anyway so will give it a shot!
I'm just trying to find anyway to help myself at the minute as I seem to be going backwards with my new gastro Dr.
Symptoms are; loose/frequent stools with regular diarhhoea but have occasional constipation, slow moving when I go to the toilet, permanent bloating, abdominal pain, rectal pain, nausea, reflux, heaviness in the abdomen, dehydration, fatigue, rectal bleeding (prev Dr said this is definitely not due to piles, new one thinks it is without even looking at them) dysperenea (so). Worse in the mornings, takes most of the day for the pain to go away.
I have been using fybogel for about 6 months. I suffer with IBS, and am not constipated with IBS. It seems to have helped.I take only one a day.Get your doctor to prescribe 60,on one script like I do. Lasts me 2 months. It will not cure you but I find it makes it easier, and seem to have less "bad" days.
Yes I have tried Sillcolgel over several days have found it for my condition it has been marvellous For years I have suffered with excessive belchng / burping (don't laugh ) but very disabilitating .
I will make a final evaluation in a few weeks but so far so goodb
I saw one on hush hush wasn't very dear, I think about £38, things go very quick on there. Good luck
