Silicolgel

Can anyone tell me about their experience with Silicolgel .. does it help with IBS?

My son used it for 12 months and it did help improve his symptoms but then he stopped. His symptoms are back worse than ever and we've started again. It takes a good 6 weeks to start to notice anything different.

It has been fantastic for me also giving me back the confidence to go out and not have to cling to be near the loo. It has controlled diarrhoea and nausea symptoms in particular. And night time reflux.

Yes this has helped me no end. As it's a solution I struggle to get it in 3 times a day but one dose sure does help! I can only seem to find it to purchase in huge boots stores.

Also take with a pro-biotic - I got a cheap buy one get one free from boots a 25 million dose in 2 capsules. Do the both. Silicol Gel and a Pro-biotic.

Leave at least an hour though either side before taking meds and food.

I take a tablespoon every morning and it has really helped apart from an odd incident when I ate lots of chocolate but at least I knew what caused it .
