My IBS has been pretty good until now.

So for the past few months my IBS has been under control and I've been feeling good, up until now. I've been getting severe cramps and bloating and had the feeling as if I've got constipation and Diarrhea at the same time. I've been taking tablets and thought these were helping but this past week I've been in such bad pain and constantly stuck on the toilet. I've been to my doctor loads of time over this year and they've not really helped me at all. If anyone can give me some advice or help to control my IBS, that would be appreciated. I've also been thinking about joining the IBS network to try get help, as I'm so fed up of feeling ill and dreading eating out or going anywhere. (Incase my IBS flares up) but didn't know if it was worth it or not, so if any of you have joined or know someone who has, I'd love to hear what it's all about and if it's worth spending the money on.

Have you tried peppermint oil capsules ? I do take regularly 2 times a day and it helps me well to soothe my intestines. You can also try some probiotics, like Healthy trinity. You can check my story out: healthunlocked.com/theibsne...

Changing the diet will make a huge difference. Try some alkaline diet. I am sorry, don't know much about the IBS network.

Have you tried a food elimination process, such as low-FODMAPs, to see if you have triggers in your diet?

Hi I suffer with IBS-D so on the Loo a lot too, maybe your Tablets have bound you up a bit so you have some hard stools and the runny bit are are going around the hard bits , sounds mad I know, but my mum had this and they told her to have a good clear out, speak to your doc, she may be able to get a scan for you which will show if there is a blockage. I don't know this web site you mean but if you have to pay for advice then I would find an alternative one.
