Hi sticks, I had the same misfortune awhile back, I've been on Bisoporol for some time now. I also suffer chronic IBS I can't say as it's made any difference to my IBS. So don't worry I've also had no side affects. Take care

That is nice to hear, i was so worried it would make things worse, and i was heading for more problems.

Thank you so much for your reply and i wish you luck with this heart condition.

I have been taking Bisoprolol plus 3 other drugs for high blood pressure for many years .Bisoprolol is a beta blocker and calms heart palpitations and helps regulate the heart . It also generally calms anxiety . It also helps me sleep soundly and deeply . I do not think it has had any effect on my IBSC. I also take a diuretic ,which reduces the amount of liquid in the body and blood ( to reduce blood pressure) and I think that does make IBSC worse . I also take Amlodopine , a smooth muscle relaxant that allows the blood vessels to relax thus lowering blood pressure and I think that also reduces my gut motility as smooth muscle action is what controls peristalsis . So if you take these drugs in future they may or may not effect your IBSC but bisoprolol probably not .
