Hi - does anyone else suffer with a ton of trapped in the the stomach, lower chest area... No matter how many times I burp it always comes back... Sometimes I spend 6 hours in a row feeling extremely bloated with a huge stomach just constantly burping. Anyone with experience of this and know how to get rid of it?

You are describing exactly what I had. I tried charcoal tablets and they seem to have worked for me. Don't be put off by the colour - they are black. Have not had any gas since I started them. I only take them after main meal. They are only around £3.00 so well worth a try. Good Luck as I know how painful this can be. If you try them let me know how you get on.

I suffer with the constantly and for some relief I have started drinking peppermint cordial in my water and also mint tea. If doesn't take it away complete but definitely helps.

Hi, I also get this a lot. The best thing I've ever had is Omeprazole which was prescribed by my doctor after a particularly bad bout last year resulting of several days no sleep, can take a little while to work sometimes but much better than anything else I've ever used. Have also been told to crouch down on floor and 'wag your tail' like a dog, sounds ridiculous but does help get quite a bit of gas out and when feeling that bad will try anything, also various other exercises which compress and then stretch the abdomen. Peppermint tea helps with the sick feeling and I also use the capsules as a preventative measure, not always 100% effective but think they help a bit. Good luck! Be good to hear how you get on.

Yes I get this. Initially the doctor said it was gallstones - I had a gallbladder infection and an ultrasound which showed small gallstones. I have since had another ultrasound which shows no gallstones present so as I still get the dreadful pain and wind it can't have been that.

I have found the best thing for me is to sip a mug or more of fairly warm water from the kettle. This seems to bring up the wind and it is quite comforting as well.
