Zoladex

Did well on Zoladex and Apalutimide for 2 1/2 yrs. with Mets to bones. Cancer has now spread to liver and pelvic lymph nodes. Docetaxel has failed and I am now waiting to hear if insurance will cover Pluvicto. Any thoughts on starting BAT now in case Pluvicto doesn’t happen?

After taking Piqray + monthly shots of Fulvestrant and Zoladex for more than a year, my latest pet scan revealed progression and found new mets in liver, lymph nodes and bone.

RP 2008, Bicalutimide 2008 until 2019, Enzalutamide 2019 - 2022, Zoladex 3 monthly implant 2019 ongoing. Phase 1 drug trial at Royal Marsden in London Jan 2023 - June 2023 (failed). Doxetaxel August 2023 - November 2023 - but gave up after 5 infusion as it was clearly not working.

I then started Zoladex injections and was on them for 6 months on, 6 months off for 2 years. After another 4 years of varying medication, pain relief such as cocodomol, tramadol, physio, acupuncture, herbal remedies etc, I underwent another laparoscopy and they found and cauterised more endo.

I've been on this combo for around 2 1/2 years with monthly Zoladex implant too. From what I can see from some brief research...the aromatase inhibitors cause raised cholesterol as a common side effect...but cholesterol meds are not recommended while taking Ibrance due to possible complications.

I’m scheduled for an abdominal hysterectomy in the new year, and having a six month course of zoladex before this. Thanks so much for reading!

After a year on zoladex since the ablation, the biggest ongoing issue for me is fatigue and sleep pattern. It is something which I know a lot of people report with the zoladex - so I am hoping would improve if I had the hysterectomy. Since I've been on it I have quite disrupted sleep.

bleeding now constantly for a full year, tablets haven’t helped stop, I’ve had a scan in the mean time which gyne sent me for, I’ve previously asked for a hysterectomy I am 32 this with 3 kids and I don’t want anymore I want to just get back to normal life without this he said he would rather go down the zoladex

I have been on Zoladex for nearly 7 years and am fully over any regrets of Chemical castration. My psa is now slowly rising and ghastly taken 2 years from undetectable to 0.65.

I asked my oncologist about whether I continue with monthly shots of Zoladex, which are administered by my GP, and she seemed a bit unsure, then said no. I left the hospital without much confidence and not understanding the logic, given that my cancer is still driven by oestrogen.

I'm on zoladex and tibolone so my hormones are probably having a party haha! I've had a lump tiny one on the outside of my vagina for years and this past week I've had thrush symptoms horrible discharge with a slight smell. And the lump has turned dark red or black.

I began the zoladex injection in January of this year, I then had a laparoscopy in March which diagnosed my endometriosis. I had light bleeding for a couple of weeks after and then it completely stopped. Since then, I've had 2 episodes of heavy bleeding lasting 10 is days.

Feel a little overwhelmed as thought I’d maxed out on Zoladex and all the guidance prior to this is that use of Zoladex should be limited and not a long term option. Has anyone else used Zoladex for a prolonged period of time please and how did you find it? Grateful for any advice.

I'm praying that zoladex with add back HRT will be good for me. I know some side effects sound brutal but it's the only option I have to stop the hemorrhaging and get my life back xxx

so I’m about to have injection number 4 on Thursday. I am so undecided what to do. It has been an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and symptoms/side effects so far. The last one I was undecided about having but the fact it has pretty much got rid of my pelvic pain I thought I would soldier on with

My op is next month, after another Zoladex implant. I’m minded to stop the Zoladex before the next is due (and hrt) given the ‘therapeutic trial’ of Zoladex has already guided the decision and the surgery is booked.

Husband has been on Enzalutimide 8 weeks 160mg alongside Zoladex for CRPC he had a week of bad headaches, with flu season around we just thought he had caught something before realizing it could be his blood pressure so when we took it it was off the wall for him.

Whilst discussing I was told the zoladex may completely stop my period or I may find I still have one, which I did just alot lighter. When I returned after 6 months to discuss the results of the zoladex and MRI I met another gynecologist at the hospital who told me something completely different.

He said that I could go on zoladex for 2 to 3 years (much longer than I thought).

Hormone Implant called Zoladex LA 10.8mg 6th September 2023, 1 x 3 months. Standing Enzalutamide 4 tablets daily. 19th September 2023. Started Tamsulosia Hydrochloride 23rd September 2023. 1 x tablet daily.
