degeralix vs lupron
Hello, Any thoughts on which ADT treatment is better? My husband received his first injection with Degeralix today to prevent the testosterone flare and next month the doctor is planning on a 3 month Lupron injection. From what I’ve been reading, it seems that the Degeralix may be better than Lupron

I don't know what else to say, laughing. Insert big fat sigh as well. I have zero understanding why my labs continue to be so off. The endocrinologist is going to accuse me of non-compliance yet again (I will go NOPE, NOPE & NOPE.) I take those little buggers in the middle of the night like a champ.

Gleason score 8 and lots of questions...
Hi all! First time posting here but I have been lurking the last month or so and thanks so much to all of you who take the time to contribute. It has helped me ramp up the learning curve so quickly and the comradery and support here are powerful. My story: 63 year old reasonably healthy male. PSA

Prostate cancer morphed into NEPC
I was recently blindsided by my "under control" prostate cancer, turning into High Grade Neuroendocrine Prostate cancer (NEPC). After 13 years of various therapies, the last few years included Lupron/Eligard, Zytiga, Xtandi. This kept the PSA low (around .2) and kept my MO happy. In 2021, I asked my

Extreme Hair Loss Advice
Hello All, While I'm waiting to see a dermatologist and a doctor about my hair loss, I would really appreciate some extra advice from all the beyond amazing people of this forum. I've always had some hair loss since having hypo, but nothing like I'm losing now, ever! It's so extreme, I don't even

ADT/Exercise and QoL thanks
While attending a 10 day Vipassana silent meditation course (you do not speak for the 10 days and have no electronics/connection with the outside world - very liberating) I was not able to exercise, other than about 10,000 steps per day. Pluvicto (Lu177) side effects... please hydrate!
I thought about posting this a few days ago, and the recent post on chemo by AlvinSD reminded me to do it. It's been a full week since I did my 5th Pluvicto infusion, and I am still suffering from some side effects. Some of those SEs are new to this infusion, some are ones I experienced after prior sessions

Oligomets and SBRT: "Whack a Mole"?
"PSMA-PET guided SBRT for oligo-metachronous PCa recurrence in appropriately triaged patients results in excellent local control, low toxicity and over 50% ADT free at 5 years." When to introduce ADT after RP failure
I'm progressing well on Triplet Therapy coming up 12 months after Chemo and comparing myself to my brothers situation. He doesn't belong on this advanced prostate group but I hope his cancer does not advance to the point that he does! Diagnoses Biochemical failure following radical prostatectomy

pBAT update after two cycles.
I started BAT using testosterone propianate which requires injections every other day during high T cycle. The beauty of that is fast clearing and slamming the jail cell shut on the beast with darolutamide. My recent PSA came in as 0,05 which is almost at end on my 2nd darolutamide cycle. My Numbers

Recommendations for an endocrinologist who will prescribe NDT
I would be very grateful for any recommendations by private message for endocrinologists who will prescribe NDT, as there are only a couple on the Thyroid UK list. I live in S W London, but location wouldn’t matter if they do online consultations. Many thanks.

Kidney Stones
I’m 19 months into ADT (Lupron) following open RP and 38 rounds of radiation last summer. All treatments or for Gleason 9 (5/4) PC that had spread outside the prostate. A few weeks ago I started getting loose bowels, incontinence and blood in my urine. My urologist thought I had radiation cause cancer

ADT for a year?
Had intermediate grade PC no spread, had SBRT. Three months out my Psa is .03. Am on Lupron for the fourth month out of a projected 12 month stint. Do docs ever say, six or nine months is enough? Testosterone at 6 right now.

Acupuncture and Hot Flashes
Throughout my life as an athlete, I have always worked out and continue to do so. I have also always tended to run hot and sweat a lot. I am now 15 months into ADT and hot flashes have been epic. Every 1 to 2 hours - full body flop sweats for 3-5 minutes. I have gone to wearing black shirts so it
