Cortisone Injections?

Hi

Does anyone have information on whether one can receive cortisone shots for various injuries unrelated to PC without adversely impacting one’s ADT treatment?

I am in physical therapy for an injured shoulder and recently had a cortisone shot and forgot to consult my MO before receiving it. I was so thankful when the orthopedist offered it to me that I forgot to ask about its impact on PC and ADT treatment.

Thank you

No problem. It even has some short-lived anti-PCa effect.

cortisone I believe is a strong steroid. Is that steroid similar to Prednisone 5mg I take with my Abiraterone 250mg??

I’m thinking of asking for my MO to increase my Prednisone to 5mg twice daily.

Yes, got to watch steroids paks with my cardiac rhythm AFIB history..

I have no idea how a cortisone (steroid injection) compares to the Prednisone that you (and I also) take. BTW- why are you thinking of increasing your dose?

More energy. With more predisone.

Was gonna ask my MO about testoserone replacement therapy but that’s a definite no!

Don’t do testosterone boosters.
